In July 2024, new obligations for ICPEs regarding fire risk and a mandatory update of the list of workers exposed to CMR chemical agents.

July 1, 2024: Stricter fire risk requirements for ICPEs classified under 3260 or registered under 2564 or 2565

Existing facilities must apply new provisions regarding fire risk prevention:

  • Electrical installations:
    • Annual inspection of electrical installations with hot spot detection (thermography or equivalent);
    • Inspections recorded in a register specifying the date corrective measures were implemented
  • Firefighting equipment: automatic fire detection
  • Weekly test of the liquid level detection system linked to the heating system (section 3260).

July 5, 2024: List of workers potentially exposed to CMR agents

Employers must establish an updated list of workers potentially exposed to CMR chemical agents by July 5, 2024 at the latest, and then update it as necessary.
