the context

The need to involve the field to meet climate commitments

Sodexo, a global leader in sustainable food and high-value experiences, has committed to reducing its GHG emissions by 34% in 2025 compared to 2017, across scopes 1, 2 and 3.

In order
to accelerate the company's decarbonization process, Sodexo has decided to equip its operational teams with a tool allowing them to locally analyze their carbon footprint and build a specific action plan to reduce it.
Tennaxia expertise

Complete enterprise modeling

Tennaxia allows you to model an organization regardless of its complexity, thanks to a 100% configurable tree structure system.

For Sodexo, a structure based on group activity and country was favored. More than 50 countries in total were configured in Tennaxia to achieve the level of granularity desired by Sodexo's climate teams and reflect the group's internal organization.

Individual contributors are given specific access and rights for certain areas chosen by administrators based on their roles and responsibilities.

Connection to different data sources

To measure Sodexo's emissions, Tennaxia consolidates multiple operational data via their ERP system: energy consumption, food product purchases, logistics, waste, etc.

The emission positions are then classified by categories.

One of Tennaxia's strong points: the categories are 100% configurable, which allowed Sodexo to maintain the structure of its previous Carbon Audits.

Visualization of emissions and targets by country

Once the data is integrated into the tool, each country and Sodexo entity is able to know its carbon footprint and identify its main emission sources.

Through our trajectory module, entities can also visualize the efforts they need to make to align with the overall reduction target.

The entities are now autonomous and ready to build an action plan that will allow them to align their emissions with the group's commitments.

Construction and monitoring of action plans

Through our “Action Plan” module, CSR managers in each country can determine their optimal path to achieve their objectives.

To create an action plan, they can choose from an existing catalog of actions or create them: the tool allows them to model complex decarbonization actions and to quantify the carbon and financial impact of these actions.

Once the ambition and timeline for actions have been defined, the user can launch their action plan. All Sodexo teams are now committed to reducing their emissions!

To combat climate change, we must reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and achieve our target of reducing our emissions in Scopes 1, 2 and 3 by 34% in 2025 compared to 2017, as validated by the Science-Based Target Initiative.

Thanks to Tennaxia, we were able to equip each of the organization's countries to make them autonomous in achieving their climate objectives, and thus multiply the effects of our decarbonization strategy."
