- Modification of the definition of a new installation
- Additional requirements regarding smoke extraction and electrical installations

- Strengthening of design requirements for surface treatment facilities
General requirements applicable to Classified Facilities for Environmental Protection (ICPE) subject to registration under categories no. 2564 and no. 2565: strengthening of requirements related to fire risk

Key changes include:
- New requirements for premises housing equipment with a risk of electrical failure
- Mandatory automatic fire detection
- Obligation for an annual inspection of electrical installations, focusing particularly on hot spot detection (thermography or equivalent) from the 1st1st January 2024
- Strengthening design provisions for surface treatment facilities
Declaration or application for authorization concerning damage to tree-lined avenues and tree alignments bordering public roads

As a reminder, it is forbidden to cut down or damage tree-lined avenues and tree alignments bordering public roads, to compromise the preservation or radically alter the appearance of one or more trees in an avenue or alignment (with exceptions).
These articles of the Environmental Code define the content and procedures for the declaration or application for authorization required to carry out operations affecting tree-lined avenues and tree alignments bordering public roads, as well as the penalties provided for non-compliance.

SAFETY
List of microorganisms and toxins (MOT) posing a risk to public health
Order of April 26, 2023, establishing the list of microorganisms and toxins provided for in Article L. 5139-1 of the Public Health Code [Official Journal of May 28, 2023]
This order updates the list of MOTs whose use could pose a risk to public health. As a reminder, any operation involving the production, manufacture, transport, import, export, possession, offering, transfer, acquisition, and use of these MOTs and products containing them must be authorized by the National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (ANSM).
