May 23, 2025: Public Access Buildings (ERP) - Update on regulations concerning the fire performance of power, control, and communication cables

The new provisions regarding the fire reaction classification of electrical conductors and cables apply to ERP projects for which building permit applications are submitted from May 23, 2025 onwards.

Power, control, or communication cables must meet Euroclass Cca-s2, d2, a2 instead of class C2, in terms of their reaction to fire (a cable's contribution to fire development and the substances released during its combustion).

Note: specific provisions are made for GA-type ERPs (train stations).
