Context: the recovery plan 🌍
To combat global warming and meet the goals of the Paris Agreement, which aims for carbon neutrality by 2050, the government's Recovery Plan allocates a budget of €30 billion to the energy transition. This translates into support, managed by ADEME, called “Tremplin pour la transition écologique des PME”. This grant encourages companies to develop their low-carbon strategy by helping to fund initiatives that support this goal. How does this grant work? 🔍
The potential grant amount ranges from €5,000 to €200,000, covering up to 80% of the total cost of your transition project(s). Please note, however, that only specific actions are eligible.
In fact, around 60 actions are subsidized by the Tremplin transition écologique, divided into two main categories:
- Assessments and studies. This includes conducting your carbon footprint assessment, creating an action plan, performing energy audits, and more.
- Investments. This category covers purchases or work that help reduce your company's carbon footprint, such as installing LED lighting, insulating attics, or purchasing electric vehicles.
Completing your carbon footprint assessment, which also includes an action plan, can make you eligible for up to €5,000 in funding. If you are interested in pursuing other ecological transition initiatives, contact us to quickly get an estimate of the grants you may be eligible for.
Please note that this is not a retroactive grant; only non-committed expenses can be subsidized. If your quotes have already been signed or a sales agreement has been made, these projects cannot be co-financed by ADEME.
So, who is eligible? 🎓
Good news, all small and medium-sized businesses are eligible for this grant, regardless of their legal structure! Non-profits are also eligible for this subsidy, subject to certain conditions.
However, ADEME subsidies cannot be combined. You will therefore be ineligible for the Carbon Transition Springboard if you are already receiving other funding.
How do you apply for this grant? 💸
ADEME has greatly simplified the administrative process for this subsidy. Only 3 steps are required:
1. Check your eligibility as well as the eligibility of your project(s).
2. Complete the “ADEME Ecological Transition Springboard” file available on the ADEME website.
3. Submit your application by providing the supporting documents for this grant (quotes for studies or work, etc.) as well as your bank details.
