Here's a summary of the EHS manager 's 5 key points. If you're in charge of environment and safety at one or more industrial sites, you'll find it hard to ignore. So, EHS manager... get to work!

1. CSTMD - Safety Advisor

The 2017 annual report for the transport of dangerous goods (including waste) is due soon. Remember to renew your contracts now, or find a service provider if you outsource this legal obligation.

A reminder: over the past few years, the way in which the Safety Adviser's annual report is drawn up and its content has changed radically...

2. ISO 14001 v2015

The 2015 version of ISO 14001 becomes mandatory in 2018 for all certified sites. From now on, you'll need to identify and respond to the relevant expectations of interested parties, and identify internal and external environmental issues.

Are you ready? For the record, the new ISO 45001 standard on occupational health and safety is due for release in March 2018, with requirements comparable to those set in ISO 14001 v2015.

3. Single document

Annual updating of risk assessments remains a legal obligation, and an important step in identifying hazardous situations at workstations and defining appropriate prevention and protection measures.

The risks associated with electromagnetic fields must now be included in your Document Unique.

4. GEREP

The annual declaration is to be prepared by grouping together your various air, water and waste data. Remote declaration of polluting emissions and waste for 2017 will be possible from January 1, 2018 on the Ministry's website.

5. Training

With the end of the year approaching, have you identified your training needs for yourself and your teams? Have you identified the organizations capable of providing this training?
