An order dated September 26, 2024 modifies the models to be used by health professionals in the occupational health and prevention service (SPST).

⚠️ Please note before reading this article

Update of November 21, 2024: these new models have been abolished by an order published today. Prevention and occupational health services must therefore continue to use the previous models (set by the order of October 16, 2017).

Note: this repeal would follow the request for additional deadlines by information system publishers.

Here are the cases concerned:

  • Individual monitoring of employee health;
  • The medical examination concluding that the employee is fit for reinforced individual monitoring (SIR);
  • The medical examination concluding that an employee is unfit for work in the CRS;
  • The medical examination concluding with proposals for individual measures to adapt the workstation or working hours.

These changes follow the reform introduced by Law no. 2021-1018 of August 2, 2021 to strengthen prevention in occupational health, known as "santé au travail".

These models can now be used in the following cases:

  • For the certificate of individual monitoring of the employee's state of health, when :
    • the information and prevention visit carried out when the employee actually takes up the workstation;
    • the return-to-work visit following maternity leave, an absence due to an occupational illness, an absence of at least thirty days due to an industrial accident, or an absence of at least sixty days due to a non-occupational illness or accident;
    • medical check-ups carried out at the request of the employee, the employer or the occupational physician. This visit is carried out independently of fitness examinations on recruitment and periodic examinations, as well as information and prevention visits. It can be requested by workers under "classic" or "reinforced" individual monitoring;
    • mid-career check-up ;
    • the post-exposure visit of a CRS worker after cessation of exposure to occupational hazards;
    • Post-occupational check-ups for former workers (including retired workers) who are or have been in CRS ;
    • intermediate visits by a worker benefiting from a CRS.
  • For the opinion on the suitability of an employee benefiting from a CRS, when :
    • the pre-employment medical examination ;
    • the four-yearly renewal of the fitness test.
  • For the employee's unfit-for-work notice -in SIR-, in all previous cases that may lead to a finding of unfitness, i.e.: hiring visit, periodic visit, intermediate visit, visit on request and resumption visit.
  • This model is combined with a certificate of individual monitoring of the employee's state of health, or with a notice of a medical examination. It concludes that the workstation or working hours need to be adapted.

These amendments come into force on October 11, 2024.
